Abstract:
A new high-resolution airborne SAR system utilizing stepped frequency technique is designed. The system works on X-band, and achieves very high resolution of one decimeter in two dimensions. The SAR system design problem in light of wide-beam and stepped frequency is investigated and the signal processing problem is considered. A new algorithm is proposed which combines the time-domain back-projection algorithm with the traditional stepped-frequency signal processing method.
