Abstract:
Due to the slant range acquisition, SAR images are geometrically distorded. Layover occurs when at least two areas of different altitudes of the scene are located at the same range from the sensor. The received interferometric signal is a mixture of several contributions with different interferometric altitudes. In this paper, a model for the mixture of two contributions is proposed. Tbis model is validated on frontages height estimation on high resolution X-Band images from the RAMSES sensor (ONERA). It is shown that this model can improve frontages interferometric height estimation.
