Abstract:
High resolution SAR system, on which demand is growing, has been paid more attention in the last several years. High range resolution can be achieved by enlarging the bandwidth of transmitted signal. However the large bandwidth makes transmitting and sampling much more difficult. Stepped-chirp burst waveform, combined Stepped-frequency and chirp, is able to release the burden of A/D, which is a very useful high range resolution waveform. This paper firstly presents the ambiguity function of stepped-chirp burst, and then discusses the effect of the radial velocity on synthetic range profile, finally, the method of SAR imaging is provided in details.
