Abstract:
Calculated characteristics of hypothetic SAR for high orbit spacecraft using nuclear power supply are presented. High orbit SARs comparing with traditional low orbit SARs have advantages of considerable increasing of survey swath, decreasing of revisit time and of the possibility of lasting (some hours) observation of specified ground areas. Bistatic SAR system usage with airborne and spaceborne passive sensors is also considered.
