Abstract:
In september 2004, RAMSES, the ONERA airborne SAR sensor, acquired data on a Swedish area at the same time as the Swedish airborne radars CARABAS and LORA operated by FOI. One of the objectives of this campaign was to collect a large amount of data to study GMTI modes for foliage penetration application. The RAMSES sensor was equipped with 3 antennas placed along the flight direction in L band configuration. Co-operative targets where placed on the ground and were equipped with a GPS in order to measure their positions and ground speed during data acquisition. In this paper, we present the campaign, the methodology used to exploit data, and the results obtained on ground moving target detection on vehicles moving on a road under vegetation.
