Abstract:
Bistatic radars have been rediscovered several times, mainly for military applications like precise target location or receiver camouflage, Spotlight SAR (synthetic aperture radar) can efficiently obtain an image with very high azimuth resolution, in this paper we will discuss some characters of Bistatic spotlight SAR. Here we build the system space geometry model: the transmitter and receiver fly on different platforms and at different height, two flight paths are unparallel. Then we demonstrate the equation of the azimuth resolution about Air-born bistatic spotlight synthetic aperture radar; discuss the influence on the system azimuth resolution at different conditions.
