Abstract:
In this paper a comprehensive approach has been adopted to design the InSAR simulator to enable simulation of all processes in the chain of the SAR Cross Track Interferometry. This includes the raw data generation, Interferogram formation and generation of height maps. Attitude of the spacecraft and orbital information have also been taken into account. The radar receiver and focusing for each of the two channels are modeled as the linear systems with certain impulse responses which further led to the interferogram generation and subsequent height mapping. Each element/process in the simulation has been explained with adequate mathematical expressions.
