Abstract:
The paper presents the preliminary results of interferometric study of the landslides activity for Volga River banks in Ulyanovsk city, Russia. SAR Interferometry is a widely used technique, which is sensitive to the terrain elevation, and Differential SAR Interferometry (DINSAR) allows estimating of surface motion in centimeters scale. Surface lowering in different parts of the city are revealed, and the causes of the effects are discussed.
