              Abstract:
The availability of dual-mode handset with both cellular radio and WLAN capabilities makes it of interest for both end-users and operators to provide seamless transfer of voice sessions when switching access between Circuit- Switched (CS) and IP and vice-versa. For that reason VCC (Voice Call Continuity), a novel mobility scheme on call control level, is currently under study in 3GPP. This paper describes the 3GPP architecture, outlines handover modes, and provides life experience from a prototypical setup.
