Abstract:
The strong increase in the wind turbine business in Europe within the last few years has consequences to the power supply network, which is served by the power input of the wind turbines. This strong increase has developed a lot of new rules and specifications of the utilities to connect to the high voltage grid. This abstract contains the current rules for power supply connection, also called grid codes. A solution is discussed on the example of a double fed asynchronous generator for a wind turbine.
