Abstract:
We developed a polarization-insensitive GaInNAs/GaInAs MQW-SOA with a small gain tilt of < 1.2 dB in C-band. The reduced NF increased the effective gain bandwidth by 50 nm as compared with a GaInNAs strained-bulk SOA.
