Abstract:
A flexible model was developed to analyze the economic impact of control plane technology on Next Generation Optical Transport Network deployment. Initial economic assessment suggests that substantial revenue realization gains and operation cost savings can be expected as a result of simplification of operation and circuit provisioning processes.
