Abstract:
Contention resolution and 100 km transmission of 80 (8lambda x 10) Gbit/s colored-optical-packets encapsulating IP packets with packet-loss-rate of less than 10-6 have been demonstrated by IP/optical-packet converters, optical fiber-delay-line buffers, and transient-response-suppressed EDFAs.
