Abstract:
The nonlinearity and RIN of 1.3micrometer and 850nm VCSELs were evaluated at the 2.4/5.8GHz bands to investigate their viability for WLAN-over-fibre systems. More than 38km single mode and 300m multimode reach can be achieved.
