Abstract:
The objective of the EU/FP6 IP SmartHEALTH project is to develop innovative Point-of-Care test systems for cancer diagnosis. For these applications, new sensor systems are developed and integrated into future healthcare services to improve existing medical services. The novel devices will communicate seamlessly and wirelessly with an ambient e-health environment. The clinical validation of the project concept will be achieved by means of targeted applications in breast, cervical and colorectal cancer.
