Abstract:
A batch compatible process flow to overcome the costly piece by piece assembly of hybrid microsystems is shown. As demonstrator device, a shape memory alloy (SMA) actuated polymer microvalve is introduced. The valve concept, fabrication technologies and device characteristics are discussed.
