Abstract:
The auto motive field continues to be a strong market driver for MEMS, especially for security applications. For example, the different Electronic Stability Program (ESP) manufacturers (including Bosch, Conti, TRW ... ) are currently promoting worldwide use of the ESP systems. But a big change is that, today, an important part of the MEMS market is driven by the growth of consumer applications, which is new in "MEMSland". The next 2 years, from 2008 to 2010, will certainly see the dominant growth of consumer applications compared to automotive, industrial and/or medical business.
