Abstract:
The focus of this work is a wireless MAC protocol for automotive or industrial applications, which is optimized for energy efficient microcontrollers with limited hardware resources. The protocol provides special features for network traffic prioritization in order to guarantee worst-case message delays. Based on a network simulation, the performance is analyzed and compared with the IEEE 802.15.4 MAC standard.
