Abstract:
The primary goal of this paper aims at providing the first experimental results of the wave propagation channels in an Asian booming metropolitan environment with dense high-rise buildings and a modern infrastructure construction. The study has been performed to the channel parameters, including path loss and shadow fading (SF), bridge loss, cross-polarization ratio (XPR), and delay spread (OS). Both the statistical distribution and their correlation properties have been investigated, through examining a set of measurement data, gathered in the city center of Shanghai. Furthermore, the impacts of the light rail-bridge and the high way-bridge on the channel parameters have been studied in the measured area.
