Abstract:
A larger diffusion of Distributed Generators pushes towards the implementation of strategies to avoid their disconnection during voltage dips (Fault Ride Trough - FRT). The paper deals with a simulation model of a photovoltaic array, connected to the distribution network through a three phase Voltage Source Inverter, developed in the environment of the digital simulator DIgSILENT. After set-up and validation steps, the model has been employed for a simulative evaluation of different design and control strategies for the FRT.
