Abstract:
With the improvement of high temperature superconductor (HTS) practical performance, research and development concerning the application of HTS transformer have been progressed actively in the world. This work presents design of a single phase 10 kVA (220/24 V). We accomplished magnetic analysis to determine leakage flux density in two conventional winding (helically and pancake), optimize distance between primary and secondary winding for reduction of stray flux; normalize current, windings inductance and electromagnetic force applied on the windings with finite element method. Finally a comparison is carried out on the characteristics of helically and pancake windings to determine which winding and core type is better. The latest version of ANSOFT Company (MAXWELL 13 software) was used in the simulation of magnetic fields.
