Abstract:
One of the biggest impediments of the future wireless communication systems is the need to reduce the energy consumption of mobile devices, which depend on batteries for their operations. GREEN-T will be the vehicle for tackling the problem of high energy requirement of beyond 3G mobile terminals, by dedicating its efforts towards saving energy on the mobile side, and especially addressing the energy dissipation for communication-related functions. This paper presents the initial progress of the GREEN-T project.
