Abstract:
Offset quadrature amplitude modulation orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OQAM OFDM) has shown improvements in spectral efficiency in comparison with cyclic prefix (CP) OFDM. To further increase data rate and reliability, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) schemes can be implemented. This paper will focus on spatial diversity and propose a maximum ratio combining (MRC) algorithm for OQAM OFDM. Simulation results will be compared with results from existing CP OFDM MRC with regards to the bit error ratio (BER) and complexity.
