A new Super Mini DIPIPM with SJ-MOSFET that has developed for the inverter system like air-conditioners to realize lower annual power consumption. In recent years a standard of APF/IPLV which calculated by annual consumption electricity is used for air-conditioner evaluation. The on voltage characteristic in low current region is key issue because the power loss at a light load condition which occupies a long annual duration is important in APF. We improve the on voltage in the low electric current by using SJ-MOSFET. It can reduce 32% of power consumption at the light load driving condition.
