Abstract:
Establishment of minimal technical requirements (MTR) for utility-connected photovoltaic (PV) system allows better integration for generation system in the electric grid. Regarding efforts toward global MTR harmonization, local grid conditions lead to local grid requirements, current R&D concerning PV inverters involve grid support under faulty conditions such as low voltage ride through (LVRT) capabilities to overcome the minimal requirement for the different grid codes worldwide. In this paper a PV inverter requirements update is presented for recent grid codes.
