Abstract:
In FPGA applications low core voltages of 1 volt or below at high currents are increasingly getting important. In view of the highly reliable power supply for harsh environment in low voltage and high current operation demand for design qualification is presented. This topic provides a guide for designing a highly reliable DC/DC converter of 1V, 15A. PCB’s layout consideration, 4 layers arrangement, selection of crucial components and proper grounding technique are based on a focus on the reliability to attain a stable converter with modifiable separate control part and power part.
