Abstract:
Obtaining a higher efficiency in power converters is one of the main goals of power electronics. Many techniques have been developed to do so, such as advanced modulation techniques, or soft-switching topologies, which use LC resonance circuits to switch the main device at zero current or zero voltage. In this paper, efficiency increasing techniques are shown, from the semiconductor level to converter topologies, emphasizing in DC-AC converters.
