Abstract:
This paper uses a modified version of the Shannon capacity formula to abstract link-level simulation results for the use in LTE downlink system-level simulations and presents the respective parameters. The abstraction allows a straightforward modelling of different MIMO transmission schemes as well as the impact of different scheduling schemes. The parameters presented are obtained by curve fitting and enable systemlevel simulations with 1.4, 5, 10 and 20 MHz bandwidth while supporting 2x2, 4x2 and 4x4 MIMO transmissions with either a Round-Robin or Best CQI scheduling approach.
