              Abstract:
Σ Δ Analog-to-Digital-Converters (SigmaDelta-ADCs) are widely used in motor drives where high signal integrity and galvanic isolation are required. While the SigmaDelta-technology itself is well understood, all too often the converters are used in ways that fail to unlock the full potential of the technology. This paper looks at SigmaDelta-ADCs from an application point of view and discusses how to get the best performance in a motor drive.
