A new transfer mold type multi-functional compound DIPIPM(exp TM) developed for applications such as general inverter, servo, industrial motor or package air conditioner is presented in this paper. The new DIPIPM(exp TM) is designed to have inverter circuit, converter circuit and brake circuit in order to simplify the print circuit pattern and noise design. Furthermore, 1200V current-limit resistor embedded BSD(Bootstrap Diode) chip and temperature measurement function are also included in the new module that make it possible to reduce the cost of the inverter control board.
