This paper presents a design method and its implementation of PV inverter, in which the Ttype NPC three-level (T-NPC) topology is adopted, to achieve the benefits of low voltage stress, low switching losses, low harmonic distortion and high conversion efficiency. The design procedure is presented in detail, including power losses calculation, efficiency analysis, power stack designing, filter designing. The effectiveness of the proposed PV inverter and its design method is validated by experimental results.
