Abstract:
Today numerous contributions towards a sustainable reorganization of the energy supply can be observed. Essential to this is the utilization of renewable energies in order to achieve a worldwide reduction in CO2 emissions. Consequently the number of distributed power generation plants including renewable energy technologies is growing rapidly. The upcoming challenge is to integrate the decentralized fluctuating power generation into the overall energy supply. In this paper the electrical architecture of a hybrid plant is presented. It will be shown that the proposed system with energy storage is capable to compensate fluctuations and supports an almost grid independent operation.
