Abstract:
A modular design of a transformer-coupled zero voltage switching (ZVS) buck-boost DC-DC converter can be used to gain flexibility and improve system efficiency. The current sharing between modules is critical for the system performance and reliability. A hybrid control system is designed and tested to achieve good current sharing in a large array system as well as accurate output voltage control. Load regulation and temperature compensation has been designed for proper output current sharing between modules. After that, an analog feedback loop in the system level can be used to improve the array output voltage accuracy if needed. Experimental test has been performed to validate this control system successfully.
