Abstract:
In this paper a novel two-parallel inverter topology is introduced which combines the advantages of conventional power switches (e.g. IGBT’s) with the benefits of up-to-date power switches (e.g. SiC-MOSFET’s) to reduce harmonics and thus achieving an ideal output current. The common FPGA based control algorithm utilizes one inverter for carrying the major load current, while the other inverter is only used for current error compensation. A mathematical representation, a simulation of the system and first measurement results act as proof of concept and as basis for a practical implementation.
