Abstract:
A sensor unit is presented for measuring the on-state saturation voltage of IGBTs in pulse width modulated converters operating from a DC link up to 1000V. It is able to withstand the high blocking voltage of an IGBT and provides an accuracy of +/-0.5mV for the on-state voltage measurement thanks to artifact compensation techniques applied in the circuit.
