Abstract:
This paper presents a new three-port soft switching dc-dc converter topology based on the bidirectional version of the three-state switching cell, feasible to interconnect battery bank with a dc link and photovoltaic panels. In the proposed topology, all active switches are designed to operate in zero voltage switching (ZVS) mode over a wide load range. The theoretical analysis concerning the steady-state behavior and the soft switching conditions are presented, as well as simulation results. A 2 kW laboratory prototype was developed and experimental results are presented.
