Abstract:
The main focus of this paper is on the topology-optimization of a 25 kW modular machine– inverter drive train system for electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles (48 V system) or industrial trucks (e.g. fork lifters). The consequence of the detected optimal battery voltage level and the analysis of the system power loss distribution is the development of new drive train power topologies. This paper shows the method of a system investigation and compiles the optimisation potential. Possible main topologies e.g. parallel cascaded inverters or serial cascaded inverters with different supply networks will be compared.
