Abstract:
The new EDT2 chip set with 750V IGBT and emitter controlled diode significantly improves the energy efficiency for automotive applications with DC link voltages up to 500V. To be implemented into the HybridPACKTM 2 Enhanced this product features both a higher blocking voltage and a 20% lower saturation voltage compared to the established HybridPackTM 2 with 650V IGBT3 and EmCon3. The optimization of the cell structure allows the switching with high gradients. With this new product it is possible to increase the current load by 14% for a typical working point under identical boundary conditions.
