Abstract:
The article focuses on specific incompatibility issues between requirements for IEC flickermeter implementation and a more general but also rather superior requirements for a class A power quality analyzer sampling methods. These specific differences in approach to sample input voltage can cause incorrect flicker measurement for frequencies other than the nominal 50 or 60 Hz as will be shown. In the following paper we’ve discussed the problem and also we design and analyze possible solutions. Real measurement results of our prototype implementation are included and compared with similar solution implemented previously without any correction of this specific issue.
