Abstract:
In this paper the outage probability of a cognitive multihop relay network subject to multiple primary users interference is evaluated. In particular, we adopt the underlay approach and consider a multihop regenerative secondary network, where transmissions are allowed only when certain interference constraints at the primary network are satisfied. The analysis extends and generalizes previously derived results by taking into consideration non identical fading parameters as well as signal to interference plus noise ratio statistics. Both these conditions are very important in real communication scenarios. The new results include generic exact expressions as well as important special cases. It is shown that the interference limited scenario represents a quite optimistic evaluation of the network performance, while the diversity gain is independent of the number of hops and/or the number of primary users.
