Abstract:
Within this paper, we consider the power allocation for the multiple access phase of a Gaussian Two-Way-Relay Interference Channel (TWRIC). Based on recent results from the classical Gaussian Interference Channel (G-IFC), we analyze a variety of approaches to tackle the non-convex optimization problem in the TWRIC and derive required modifications. The Branch and Bound (BB) algorithm as well as the Differential Convex Algorithm (DCA) reformulate the non-convex objective as the difference of two convex functions. Another approach fixes the interference in the objective and iteratively updates the approximation. Furthermore, we show that even a straight forward Gradient Descent Method (GDM) can achieve excellent results for some special cases of the TWRIC. Finally, the paper presents numerical results and discusses performance issues.
