Abstract:
Resilient communication and knowledge exchange is a fundamental requirement for self-adapting cyber-physical Systems in security critical environments. In reality however, this is not always realized and often the systems are prone to security threats. This paper outlines requirements for increasing robustness with resilient knowledge exchange in distributed cyber-physical systems, and proposes multi-k-resilience, a novel approach to handle the trade-off of security vs. speed in propagating information about processes observed in the physical environment.
