Abstract:
Drive system efficiency must be specified by PDS manufacturers according to new Ecodesign directive EN 50598. This evaluation Shows, how passive Motor filters can increase overall system efficiency of drive systems. Also the impact of the filters on the losses of each single component like inverter, cable and motor has been evaluated. The measurements were done with different cable lengths, switching frequencies, motor frequencies and loads.
