Abstract:
A novel current waveform calculation method for six phase switched reluctance machines is presented. The approach described in this paper, allows fast offline computation of current waveforms that result in a ripple-free output torque. Moreover, the algorithm simplifies global optimization problems due to the low number of input parameters. Thanks to the sine base initial waveform, only two parameters are necessary to carry out local optimization for minimum current RMS value and/or other quantities.
