Abstract:
This paper proposes a wide input voltage range 2kW isolated automotive DCDC converter. The converter is based on original Current Fed Buck Flyback-Forward topology. The presented topology combines optimization size, efficiency and low cost. These objectives are achieved thanks to a wide Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) range for a wide input voltage range, naturally free output current ripple and reduced blocking voltage switches. We describe the topology characteristics, operating modes and the reducing of output EMC filter then we share some experimental results obtained on a 2kW 170V to 470V/14V prototype.
