Abstract:
This paper shows the analyses, the drawback and benefit of compaction of a litz-wire coil. The experiment of a temperature-rise test shows the good effect of increasing the thermal conductivity. Further measurements with LCR meter shows a drawback in an increasing radio frequency resistance. The thermal conductivity improvement increases the performance of the coil with several components in the current spectrum. But a exact analyse shows also the better behaviour at pure radio frequency current.
