Abstract:
In this paper, we introduce a robust method for controlling the propagation stopping conditions for an asynchronous 2D binary propagation network. Stopping condition evaluation is extended to the second pixel neighborhood so that robust extraction of a single pixel from 2D objects of any shape is enabled, while keeping the circuit implementation as simple as possible. Matlab and schematic simulations are presented, showing that the proposed method can be utilized in 2-D successfully for arbitrary BLOB geometries.
