Abstract:
The formation of patterns in complex systems has been studied from different perspectives ranging from chemistry and biology to electronic systems. Aim of this paper is to study the generation of Turing patterns in Cellular Nonlinear Networks in which memristors are considered as the main nonlinear device. Analytical conditions to observe Turing patterns in Memristive CNNs will be given and numerical simulations showing the importance of the memristor parameters will be presented. Memristors characteristics, in fact, reveal to play a key role in the selection of the type and the features of the emerging patterns.
