Abstract:
We demonstrate that parametrically pumped ring oscillators, which are interconnected by a resistor network, can function as a Hopfield network. Due to the parametric pumping, the oscillators exhibit two possible phase states and behave similar to the bistable neurons, used in Hopfield nets. Oscillatoroscillator interactions drive the system toward a local energy minimum that corresponds to a stationary phase pattern.
