Abstract:
Remote aircraft detection algorithms for midair collision avoidance are introduced. One of the algorithms is dedicated for detecting aircrafts against clear or slightly cloudy sky, while the other is for slightly structured background, like terrain or clouds with very high contrast. The algorithms are tested with real airborne image sequences captured with UAVs.
